I got a craving this week for some S’mores…and the weather just isn’t cooperating..too much rain, so I decided to make some cupcakes instead. I threw these together on a whim, and I am super excited with how they turned out!
Bake the cupcakes as directed on the box, BUT, set your timer for 5 minutes before they are due to be done. In this case, the box said 18-23 minutes, so I set the timer for 13 minutes. When the timer goes off, take out your cupcakes and place one marshmallow on each cupcake. Return the pan to the oven and watch the marshmallows melt for the remaining 5 minutes. When done, sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs on the marshmallow topping. Wait for them to cool, and eat!!:) Piece of (cup)cake!:) You can stick a bite sized Hershey bar in the top if you want for an added crunch! Or…if you like a little added crunch in your marshmallow, just leave them in a little longer and the marshmallow will be a bit burnt…which in my opinion is the only way to eat a s’more!!;)
They are so tasty! Tastes like summer…now if the weather would start acting like it!

Where I’m linking up

Those look amazing. I used to melt marshmallows in the microwave when I was a child, but this looks like a much nicer way to enjoy melted marshmallows!
What a great cupcake! Such a simple execution, but they look beautiful, and I bet they taste even better!
Oh these look so fabulous!! I have resorted to making s’mores over our stove ( not recommended) because I love them but don’t like camping! Can’t wait to try these!
This is such a great idea! I hate trying to make s’mores while camping because the chocolate never melts. But with these, the chocolate cake is already smushy enough- great thinking! If you get a second, I’d LOVE for you to share this at Sweet Sharing Monday http://saynotsweetanne.com/2012/sweet-sharing-monday-2/
Oh, my. These look fabulous! Love the toasted marshmallows on top!
These look amazing. I’ve just saved the recipe. I love the thought of just sticking the marshmallow on top. It looks yummy, is easy and is also impressive in presentation. Great work. Jodi @ http://www.meaningfulmama.com

Those look amazing! Where are you? It’s been summer weather here in FL since about forever. It has been a while since we had a true winter. I want seasons, not just Summer and more Summer. I like our winter summers best, it gets to like 60° and is really really nice!!
LOL I’m in Germany right now…so the weather is either raining, overcast, or sunny for like 2 hours.. Its horrible! Especially since we are coming from Vegas where it’s either Hot or ridiculously hot.. Glad to have the seasons again, but just not diggin the whole rain thing all the time;)
Oh wow, these look awesome!! I love the marshmallow top!
I love that you used the giant marshmallows on top!!! My kids want me to buy these so bad…now I have another reason to buy them:-)
These look amazing!! I love anything smores and these look like a super fun take on that!!
I featured you today! http://www.flamingotoes.com/2012/05/crush-of-the-week-think-pink-features-48/
So I tried this not too long ago…glad I didn’t put marsmallows on all of the cupcakes because the ones that I did, they melted off and baked on to the pan! Argh! Should I have taken the cupcakes out sooner to place the marshmallows?
That sucks that you had troubles with this. I did have to watch the marshmallows to make sure they didn’t slide. But I found that if I put them on right away out of the oven and when sticking on the marshmallow, kind of let it melt to the top, they didn’t move. Maybe that will help you.
