Maybe this shouldn’t be called “Trying my hand at Photography”…maybe it should be called “Pictures taken by a lady with a DSLR learning how to figure that beast out”. That would have been a bit long though don’t you think?? **Warning…these are VERY amateur pictures that I took. I am finally getting comfortable using my DSLR on Manual mode which is a very intimidating thing! Seriously…you see someone with a huge camera and you think OMG they must take awesome pictures, so you don’t want to let anyone down when they look at them and go “oh….good job???” yeah.. that’s how I feel about my Canon sometimes. But whatever, I had to just do it and get over my fear.

Luckily Miss M is quite the little model when it comes to getting her picture taken. I usually get asked if I want “Sassy” or “Regular”….seriously, no idea!;)

Either way, she’s a good time! A family friend moved away this past weekend, so I wanted to get some pictures of the two of them before she left. We headed out to the park and just went with it.

I was able to find free actions for my version of Photoshop Elements at The Coffee Shop Blog. If you haven’t ever checked out the free actions and tutorials there, you totally should! They are all SUPER amazing!
