My sister has been begging me for an earwarmer since the weather started changing. I FINALLY found the time to make one last night. I really like it. The color is really nice and the texture the ribbing gives it actually seems to make it thicker so it definitely works!
Here is the pattern that I came up with:
Hook: G
Color: Real Teal (Red Heart Yarn)
Ch-Chain
Hdc-Half Double Crochet
Fpdc-Front post Double Crochet
Bpdc-Back post Double Crochet
Ch 80
(This amount was perfect for a “normal” adult size. If you need to make it smaller or larger, just go up in multiples of two.)
Be sure that your chain is not twisted and join with a slip stitch to make a circle.
Row 1: Ch 2, Hdc in each stitch around. Make sure you haven’t twisted the circle, and join with a slip stitch.
Row 2-8: Ch 2. *Fpdc in st, Bpdc in st* repeat to end. Join with a slip stitch to top of first Fpdc of the row.
At the end of row 8, finish off. Weave in ends.
This headband was SO EASY to do and I love that it is something more than just a double crochet or half double crochet. Doing the Fpdc’s and Bpdc’s alternating gives it a nice textured look.
